If January doesn’t make you want to get your life organized I’m not quite sure what will. The idea of starting a new year with a fresh start gets me all giddy! But I’m a total sucker for organization so much so I started a business because of it. Show me a labeled pantry and I’m all heart eyes. All that to say organization comes pretty naturally to me but I understand that isn’t the case for everyone.
So it’s a new year and you want to start it off right and get your life organized but you aren’t quite sure how. I want to show you a few tools I use on the daily that really help keep me organized and how you can use them too!
My Planner (I use this one and so does Chrissy. Use code ecochic for a special discount!)
This thing is basically my BFF. I use it to jot down notes, dump out all my to do’s and schedule my day. I’m a HUGE fan of time blocking which is when you basically group all like tasks together and bust them out in one time block. (see more below) so I use the planner to easily see my blocks and know what I need to be doing when.
For example, Ever day I block out an hour for “housework.” In this time I do the laundry, pick up around the house, do any dusting or other small chores that need to be done. We “deep” clean the house on the weekends. Using this daily time block helps keep the housework manageable on the weekends and also makes sure some of the less thought of chores get done like wiping down the baseboards and the fans!
